3rd European Bronchiectasis Workshop
3rd Edition of the European Bronchiectasis Workshop which takes place from February 23rd to February 25th , 2023 in Milan (Pieve Emanuele).
Following the “on going” success of the World Bronchiectasis Conference series (Milan 2017, Virtual Edition 2020, Prague 2022) attended – every edition – by more than 400 participants from all over the World and the 1st and 2nd European Bronchiectasis Workshop in Vienna in July 2019 and Virtually on July 2021, where more than 200 specialists met to face and discuss the most relevant arguments of the area, the 3rd European Bronchiectasis Workshop will be realized on February 23rd – 25th, 2023 at Humanitas University in Pieve Emanuele in the Milan area.
The programme includes, this edition, several innovative elements:
- Some lectures / topics will be reserved to Junior Professionals – to make sure to give the stage to the future leaders in Bronchiectasis
- The programme implies intrinsically a dialogue with Paediatricians to help the professionals operating on children and on adults to share common language and an agreed upon processes for the benefit of the patients
- Exploiting the simulation centre of Humanitas University and in parallel with the main programme, it is in course of development aSimulation Track where participants will, in turns and in small group, simulate an hands-on real life complex case management – an effective and different way of learning by doing concentrating not only on clinical aspect but how to communicate with the patient and within the team
- A Virtual Crush Course on Bronchiectasis will be offered to European General Practitioners with the purpose to spread the awareness on the pathology and start creating a dialogue between territory and hospital to reduce the burden of disease for bronchiectasis patients
